Athletic Club and Sparta Praha played out a goalless draw in the last match of the UEL Group Phase; an fixture that closed out this season’s European tour and, thus, the continental history of the existing San Mamés. For this occasion, there were more fans than at previous European matches, but there weren’t many reasons for celebration in a colourless match with few occasions.

We should also highlight that once again several home-grown players from the reserves have had the opportunity to make their debut in San Mamés. Specifically, Laporte, Peña and Moran.
