Athletic Club have lost 1-0 against Sevilla FC in Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán. Iborra, just before the quarter-hour mark, scored the only goal of the encounter after finishing the rebound from Jovetic’s saved penalty. The goalscorer entered the area before the penalty was taken, but the referee did not notice.

Again without points but despite the penalty, nobody can question the effort made by Athletic.

With ten homegrown players in the starting line-up, our team made space to create, with fast recoveries and runs down the wings, but without the necessary clarity and aim to be able to defeat one of the present LaLiga title challengers.

LaLiga continues and on Sunday we play a rival which has had two more days of rest, specifically Malaga CF, another difficult test to keep fighting for a place in Europe.
