Athletic Club has lost in Getafe (1-0). Borja scored the match’s only goal by finishing off a corner from up close in the minute 7. From that point on the occasions created in the first half could not be finished off and Getafe kept doing their thing: great effectiveness and danger in dead-balls plays and, in the second half, with much more room to try to sentence the counterattacks. On the other hand, our attempts almost always died at the edge of the opponent’s area.

After this defeat, all we must do is keep gritting our teeth and our next challenge will be to beat Granada on Monday, 1 April, in San Mamés. Laporte and Iturraspe will not be available for that match as they’ve both seen their 5th yellow.
