Athletic Club has been defeated by Malaga (1-0) with a goal by Saviola in the minute 18, despite having mistakenly finishing off a cross by Piazón. As has occurred on several occasions so far this season, our team finished the match thinking about what it could have been, since merits and harvest have taken different roads.

Most notable has been Willy Caballero, the opponent’s goalie, and when his resistance gave way refereeing decisions dictated that day was not to be.

Such as things are, we must only look forward to winning the match on Friday against Real Sociedad to escape from the relegation zone. Even though no players are sanctioned for this match, Gurpegi and De Marcos -who had to withdraw due to discomfort of their individual injuries-, are still doubtful.
