Athletic Club continues, after its noon match in a full San Mamés, with their winning streak, which began in Iruña, after defeating Valencia CF by 1-0 thanks to a great goal by Iker Muniain just 10 minutes before the final whistle.

Our team has been superior in the first half. However, in the second half, the visitors have enjoyed more and better occasions, but in the end, and not hassle-free, the points stayed at home. With today’s three points we have reached 32 on the table, although obviously there is still a lot of work to be done.

For the second consecutive week we’ve had a clean sheet, which give us a total of eight Liga matchdays doing so against our rivals.

The next appointment will take us to Getafe on Saturday, 16 March, at 18:00 hours. For this match there are no sanctioned players, although De Marcos, Iturraspe, Gurpegi, Laporte and Amorebieta all do have four yellow cards.
