Athletic Club was proclaimed Supercopa 2015 Champions after drawing 1-1 (Aduriz) with FC Barcelona in the second leg of the Final of this competition; a match disputed in the Camp Nou.

The rojiblancos have made good on their San Mamés feat and the Supercopa is headed to Bilbao for the second time; the previous Supercopa was obtained in 1984.

Team Captain Carlos Gurpegi raised the Cup and with that long-awaited gesture a period of 31 years without obtaining an official title came to an end. A great day to congratulate ourselves for competing such as we’ve chosen to do and, logically, to share that feeling with all those people who, in all corners of the world, encourage and support our team. This victory is for everyone!

Nevertheless, for the premier team members the celebrations will be brief since this same Thursday, 20 August MSK Zilina awaits us to dispute the first leg of the UEFA Europa League play-off.
