Athletic Club, as already happened last season, drew 2-2 against the current leader, FC Barcelona, who had many options to proclaim itself champion. Susaeta put our team ahead, but in the second half Messi and Alexis turned the match around until Ander Herrera established the equalizer at the minute.
Our team has been better in the first half. However, in the second, as the minutes wore off the blaugranas took the reins of the match until Herrera’s goal justified the deserved draw, more importantly because of the effort put in. The midfielder will not be able to play in Vigo because he was booked with a fifth yellow.
On Friday, at 21:00 hours, the match against a direct rival will be our next opportunity to reach almost complete peace of mind.
