Athletic Club drew one all against Deportivo A Coruña in spite of deserving the full victory. De Marcos scored for the rojiblancos in the first half, after a good play by Iturraspe and Susaeta, and Abel Aguilar, with a header, in the beginning of the second half scored for the visitors.

Most of the occasions, including a couple of balls hitting the crossbar, have been for our team, but in the end they were not translated into goals. Our next meeting will be European, however, unfortunately irrelevant on the sports side, with a trip to Israel and to close off the week another away match against Liga leader FC Barcelona. In that match, should they be called-up, Susaeta, Muniain and Iturraspe will start off with four yellow cards on their backs.

In the celebration of the goal, besides donning a black armband in his memory, the players have remembered Alfonso Ruiz, the recently deceased Athletic Club physical therapist. Also, during the pre-match activities and at the interval the BOS, on the occasion of their 90th Anniversary, have offered a concert in San Mamés.
