Athletic Club has begun the second leg of the Liga with a 1-1 draw against the currently fourth place team Real Betis Balompié. Rubén Castro, from a penalty in the first minute of play and Aritz Aduriz in the final minutes of the first half, were the goal scorers of the match with occasions and emotion until the final whistle.

The rojiblancos deserved more and as the minutes passed they were starting to control the game although without the ability to translate that superiority and greater occasions into more goals. The locals, besides demanding with vehemence a hand by Herrera, based almost all their offensive volume on strategy plays and their later deflections.

In the end the team has had to settle with one point and already have their heads set on the next challenge, this time against Atlético Madrid, currently second on the table, on Sunday at 21:00 in San Mamés.
