Athletic Club has defeated Valencia CF by 3-1 in San Mamés. Laporte, Susaeta and Aduriz scored the goals for our team, while Parejo gave his team the lead in the first half.

A well- deserved victory before a strong rival, achieved with patience and good work and after seeing how Valencia took the lead coinciding with the best rojiblancos minutes. Immediately afterwards our team went through some of its more delicate moments, but as a result of the draw the tendency has been on the rise.

Good three points on a day marked by the heat on the thermometers and in the San Mamés stands with memories of Antton Zubikarai and the honour kick-off taken by Txetxu Rojo.

Now it’s time to rest and later return to work to prepare the next challenge, the visit to Deportivo on 18 October; a match which will give way to another continued series of demanding challenges.
