Liverpool FC - Athletic Club

Athletic Club lost 3-1 against Liverpool FC in the friendly played at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin. Williams scored our team’s goal, while Firmino, Woodburn and Solanke scored for the English team.

It was a match full of opportunities and played in a great atmosphere (51,000 spectators). Liverpool were better at the start, but after the first goal conceded from a penalty, the Red and Whites improved their positioning and performance. As well as managing to equalise, our team had chances to go in at half-time with a lead.

The tone was the same in the early stages of the second half, but Liverpool imposed their physical freshness and put the game to bed.
