Bilbao Athletic wins the XIX Garikoitz Memorial
Victory of the team directed by Joseba Etxeberria by 0-2 on Zalla UC before receiving Salamanca CF on Saturday at Lezama
Athletic Club’s reserve team won the friendly match in Landaberri that served as a tribute to Garikoitz Esnal, a former footballer of both clubs who died in a traffic accident.
The first part has taken place under a clear domination of Bilbao Athletic but without goals, thanks to Zalla UC who has withstood the onslaught visitors. The goals have already arrived in the second half, by Rubén Azcona (67′) and Víctor San Bartolomé (83′).
After having started the season with four points in the first three days of Group II of the Second Division B, Bilbao Athletic will host Salamanca CF UDS this weekend in Lezama’s facilities.
