Athletic Club has been defeated by Sevilla FC by 2-1. Gurpegi, at the beginning of the second half, scored with a header a cross from Ibai Gomez, a goal that equalized the earlier goal by Negredo, also with a header from a free kick. However, three minutes to the end Negredo scored once again to establish the definitive 2-1.

A shame when that second goal arrived which unbalanced an even match as far as control, but with greater doses of effectiveness by the locals.

If any defeat is painful, in this case it is even more so due to the expensive toll paid, since Laporte, after being sent off, and Gurpegi, Aduriz and De Marcos after being booked with yellows thus completing their 5 warning limit will not be available to play in Sunday’s match against Real Madrid.
