Athletic Club has defeated UD Almeria by 2-1 to obtain its fifth consecutive win in Liga; a mark that equals a previous one of three decades ago. Etxeita, who also scored in the first leg against the same team, and Rico have been the authors of both goals, whereas Balenziaga, involuntarily scored an own goal for Almeria.
A single-coloured match with a small advantage for our team due to their merits, especially in the first half, with a second half in which a good reading of the game prevailed, mainly in the final stretch.
That makes 39 points on the table which brings us nearer to the 42 point objective; a foundation with which to glimpse at the Liga objective that would no other than to obtain the seventh seat.
The sixth consecutive cites us at a difficult seat as is the Sanchez Pizjuán, but there is time to prepare for the match since there is no Liga next weekend.
