Athletic Club has defeated Girona FC by 2-0 in San Mamés. Muniain and Aduriz have been the scorers.

Difficult match against a fierce rival who has not given up at any time to possession of the ball and has proved to have trained well the strategy, although with the passage of minutes the local accuracy and a good reading of the game, Athletic has take the control of the game.
