Athletic Club - Getafe CF

Athletic Club drew 1-1 against Getafe CF in San Mames. Peru Nolaskoain scored for Athletic, while Mata equalised for the visitors.

The red-and-white team did not take the necessary steps to leave the bottom three and accumulated its eight draw of the season in a match with two different faces, as it has happened on other occasions.

In the first half, the team has taken the initiative and has been the only one of the two contenders who wanted to take the initiative, although with not too much depth.

In such a close match, Peru Nolaskoain’s goal was likely to be worth its weight in gold, but paradoxically from that moment, the team has collapsed and the previous injuries of Raúl García and Balenziaga have appeared again. Although Aduriz has crashed a header at the post, the clearest occasions in the last minutes have been for Getafe’s team.

The next match will be this Wednesday against SD Huesca in San Mames. It does not seem that Balenziaga and Raúl García will arrive at the same. In LaLiga, the next fixture will be on Monday December 3rd in Valencia, against Levante UD.
