Athletic Club has been unable to start 2013 with a victory after being defeated 3-1 in Levante UD’s field. Aduriz’s early goal, after a great team play, was equalized and surpassed before the interval by the locals after the team gradually lost abilities and initial control. The goals by Chris and Iborra, the second with Aymeric Laporte already having been sent off after seeing a direct red card, put the things uphill.

The beginning of the second half has been good, despite the numerical inferiority, and Munúa, on two occasions, ruined the attempts of Aduriz to equalize the match. Later, Levante, that had had a clear occasion by Roger, sentenced the game thanks to a shot by El Zhar from outside the area.
