Athletic Club has lost 1-4 against Atlético Madrid. Rico, with a header, gave our team the lead in the first half, but in the second half three goals by Griezmann and one by Raul Garcia, from a penalty, swiped the points from San Mamés.
The match has been a perfect example of how sometimes game and end result, and much less in its inequality, do not always go hand in hand. In the second half, our team faced various insurmountable obstacles which it’s been unable to overcome.
The worse aspect, the fifth yellows for Aduriz and Muniain and the injuries, yet to be evaluated, of Aketxe and Guillermo.
Happy New Year!, and with the hope that 2015 proves to be as fruitful on the sporting aspect as the year we are about to end.
