Athletic has been defeated 3-2 in Mestalla against Valencia CF. Aritz Aduriz and Raúl García have been our scorers, while Zaza, Parejo (Penalty) and Rodrigo scored for the home team.

Our team has not been able to add points in LaLiga despite having realized merits for it. Despite the good start of the game, an isolated play of Valencia CF has demonstrated the offensive potential that they have to put the advantage on the scoreboard mediated the first part.

Few minutes later, a penalty kick has meant the 2-0 and after it, the worst moments of out team or the best moments of the local team. Nevertheless, before the break the team has been redone and even Vesga has sent a header to the post.

The start of the second half was clearly visitor and after the 2-1, work of Aduriz, the tie did not seem like a chimera. In fact the 3-1 has arrived after disposing Nunez of a good occasion.

It looked like the end, but our players have kept trying. In fact Raúl García has scored the 3-2 and even Raul Garcia with a one on one cleared by Neto; Laporte, with a header to the crossbar; and Aduriz, of spur, have tried to tie the match, but without fortune.

And now league break before the visit to San Mamés of the second qualified, Sevilla FC, on Saturday 14 October.
