Athletic Club has been defeated 5-0 by Real Madrid in Santiago Bernabéu. Christian Ronaldo (3) and Benzema (2) have been the authors of the goals.

The match got complicated soon after the start with the first local goal, and although it wasn’t the best remedy to improve the situation, our team strived to balance the initiative until just before half time the second local goal was scored.

In the second half, the good start hasn’t had compensation and Real Madrid’s third goal has been a blow impossible to overcome. With many minutes ahead, the local’s superiority manifested itself and yet another two goals were scored, totalling five, a number that has unfortunately almost become the norm. Suffice it to say that so far this decade, that is, since 2009-2010, Athletic Club has allowed that many goals on four occasions.

We now reach a new league break which should serve for the team to regenerate on all aspects and confront, with a better face and results, the Liga. The next appointment will be the eighth matchday with the visit of RC Celta de Vigo.
