Athletic Club - SSC Napoli

We knew that Athletic Club was going to continue in Europe, but we didn’t know in which of the two competitions. Finally, it will continue playing the UCL after deservedly defeating SSC Napoli (3-1) with goals of Hamsik at the start of the second half and Aduriz (2) and Ibai to turn the second leg of the play-off around.

Finally, we look forward to the draw on Thursday, 28 August, in Monaco, while the image of yet another historical day, both for the victory and the fact that it came on the day more rojiblanco followers have ever witnessed a match in San Mamés still remains in our retina; an atmosphere that gives goose bumps.

In the end, as is usual on these nights with an epic flavour, the team and its followers have celebrated on a par, although there’s little time to relax since Levante UD visits us on Saturday for the second Liga matchday. Meanwhile, let’s enjoy what we’ve achieved, which is no small feat.
