RCD Espanyol - Athletic Club

The Athletic Club has lost 1-0 against RCD Espanyol in the RCDE Stadium. Borja Iglesias has scored the only goal of the fixture in the final strecht of the first half.

Our team still hasn’t found the path to victory and after suffering the third defeat of the season, the first away from home, they are now ten matches without adding up the three points.

Athletic has dominated the game in the first half but without generating any real danger until Espanyol scored. The locals, on the other hand, have made an extraordinary performance with two clear opportunities. Athletic has had also another two chances, after the local goal, with a kick by Williams which hit the post and also with Raúl García’s shot to the hands of Diego López.

In the second half, the match has opened and there the locals have had the most diaphanous options in moves almost always counterattacking.

For our part Aduriz and Williams have had their options to tie the match.
