A point which takes Athletic closer to the main objective
Los Leones drew against La Real in a tight match with few chances

A Basque Derby with little football but a tasty point, which takes us closer to our main objective. Los Leones have guaranteed Europa League qualification with four games to go and now it's time to hang on to a Champions League spot, knowing that Villarreal (3 points behind) and Real Betis (4 points behind) are both close behind.
The 0-0 draw also provided a small morale boost ahead of Thursday's match, in which the Lions will be looking to upset the odds at Old Trafford. ‘Yes we can’, the Athletic away end sang to the players.
Dreaming is always allowed with this great team - they've already taken us to the brink of a major European final and Champions League qualification.
It was a stodgy derby with few clear chances for either team. Athletic's first major opportunity came in the 27th minute, with Gorka Guruzeta mishitting a shot after an Iñaki Williams counter-attack.
La Real didn't have many chances in the first half either, just Sergio Gómez's close-range effort which went over the bar.
The second half was a similarly scrappy affair. Unai Simon first denied Take Kubo and then made the save of the match to keep out a Brais Mendes header.
Alex Berenguer thought he was through on goal after collecting a long pass over the top, but a powerful Jon Martin, thwarted the winger with a well-timed last-ditch tackle.
A valuable point and four games left to keep this the Champions League place.
