Athletic Club drew 1-1 against Dinamo Bucuresti at the Arena Nationala in the Romanian capital. Aymeric Laporte for our team and Rivaldinho, on the home side, scored the goals.

The Red and Whites came out determined to control the game from the opening whistle. They succeeded in doing so, although Dinamo were very much in the back and made Athletic’s offensive manoeuvres difficult.

However, a strategic play, with Etxeita’s extension and Laporte’s final shot, put the score at 0-1. After the goal, the hosts, tirelessly encouraged by the “red dogs”, reacted, but only for a limited period of time.

In the second half the forces were more balanced, and a great goal by Rivaldinho brought the score level. After saving another lapse of time with a push from the home team and the home crowd, the final stretch was full of alternatives with some chances to score.

After today’s draw, everything will be decided next Thursday 3 August at San Mamés at 20:45, a date in which it will be up to our fans to push.
