As good as it gets, as if written for a film. Athletic Club wrapped up a great season at San Mames by securing fifth place.

Raúl García and Iker Muniain scored the goals in a 2-0 winning, bidding farewell to the fans with a lap of honour and a sing-a-long with the North Stand after full-time.

The two champions, key in the Copa final penalty shoot-out, signed off a spectacular season at home. Muniain also handed Oscar de Marcos the captain's armband in the centre circle after the match.

Two unforgettable minutes, emotional to the max. From 17' to 19'. First, Raul Garcia headed home a great cross from De Marcos to make it 1-0. And then a bit of magic from Nico Williams and a Muniain finish sent San Mames wild.

Shotstopper Julen Agirrezabala also joined the party. He made three tremendous saves to deny Lukebakio and Agoumé. What a pair of goalkeepers Athletic have in Unai Simón and Julen.

Los Leones could have got a third when Nyland kept out Iñaki Williams in a one-v-one. Muniain made way for academy player, Mikel Jauregizar. Not long after, Raúl García also went off to rapturous applause.

At the same time, a Lezama diamond, Aingeru Olabarrieta, replaced Iñaki to make his debut.
